Warm, flaky biscuits drizzled with Little BEEst Hot Honey
Ingredients
- 3½ cups (440g) All-Purpose Flour, plus more for dusting
- 2½ teaspoons – Baking Powder
- 2 teaspoons – Kosher Salt
- 2 teaspoons – Sugar
- ¼ teaspoons – Baking Soda
- 1 cup (2 sticks) – Chilled Unsalted Butter, cut into ½” cubes
- 1 cup – Buttermilk, chilled
- Melted Butter for brushing
- 1 cup – Little BEEst Hot Honey Sauce (pick your favorite flavor!)
Instructions
- Place rack in middle of oven; preheat oven to 400F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pulse flour, baking powder, kosher salt, sugar, and baking soda in a food processor to combine. Add chilled butter, and pulse butter until pieces are pea sized. Transfer to a large bowl and slowly add chilled buttermilk over the dry ingredients. Mix with a fork while pouring to incorporate. Knead mixture in the bowl until a shaggy dough forms.
- Turn out onto a floured surface and flatten to approximately 1” thick.
- Using a bench scraper, cut dough into 4 pieces, stack on top of one another, and push together to flatten. Flatten dough into a 1″-thick rectangle again. Punch dough with desired size ring cutters or cut into squares. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze 10 minutes.
- Brush tops of biscuits with melted butter and place in oven.
- Bake biscuits until deep golden brown on bottom and golden on top, 20–25 minutes.
- When biscuits have cooled slightly, generously drizzle hot honey on top, serve with a side of room temperature butter and Little BEEst Hot Honey.
